June 27-29 2025 - Rueda Exchange Festival
LAfrique is proud to host its 5th Rueda Exchange Festival from June 27 to Sunday 29 2025!
This 3-day international festival is for Salsa Cubana dancers, Rueda enthusiasts and Rueda dance groups. The purpose of this event is to mingle with other Rueda dancers, learn new figures, exchange patterns, participate in workshops from known Rueda instructors and just have fun.
Friday 27th - Lafrique XXL Summer SBK Party
This festival starts on Friday evening with the Lafrique XXL Summer SBK Party! Join 4 SBK-workshops and dance at 3 dance areas, Salsa LA / Bachata, Kizomba and Salsa Cubana. Get blown away by 5 fantastic djs, 3 amazing shows and animations.
Saturday 28th - XXL Cubana Party with DJ Rafi and 2 SBK areas
On Saturday we continue with 5 workshop rounds, socializing and dinner. In the evening we have a Pre Party Workshop and then we dance all night on 3 dance areas. Area 1: 100% Salsa Cubana with DJ Rafi, Area 2: Salsa LA/Bachata with mix DJ Virgil, Area 3: Kizomba mix with DJ Ellen and Waeil.
Sunday 29th - Salsa Cubana Matinee with Septeto Trio Los dos
On Sunday we continue the fun with 3 rounds of 4 workshops and end with a matinee with live music from Septeto Trio Los Dos, dj Rafi and Rueda demos and a Cuban grill!
Demos and shows
Join with your Rueda group and give a demo or show! On Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon you can take the spotlight and dazzle the audience with your cool moves! Contact us for more info.
Practical information
!! No sharp heels allowed !!
Akoesticum is very proud of its pristine wooden floors. Please leave your sharp heels at home. Heels with a surface above 3x3cm are fine.

WORKSHOPS
During the festival there are 40 workshops to choose from! At every time slot there are workshops at four different levels: open level, beginner, intermediate and advanced. All workshops are given by enthusiastic dancers and performers.

SHOWER, EAT and SLEEP
Shower
During the festival there are 6 showers available to freshen up. Bring a towel and a clean shirt and dance all day long!
Food
There are food trucks at the festival for lunch and dinner. You can buy your food there or go to restaurants nearby.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the sleepover price.
Sleep
There are several rooms available at Akoesticum for you to sleep over. You can choose between a private bedroom (with 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 beds) or a shared bedroom. All bedrooms come with a private toilet and en suite bathrooms. You will be provided with bed linen upon arrival to make your own bed. Towels and breakfast are included.
